A hundred stems, which sounds excessive until you try to fill a tall vase and realise five don't cut it. Half are pampas plumes, half are bunny tails — the little round fluffy ones — so you get height and texture in the same bunch.
Dried, not fresh, so there's no water to change and nothing to wilt. They'll sit happily in the same corner from September through to spring.

Arranging them
They arrive compressed for posting, so the plumes will look flat. Shake them out gently and leave them a day or two to open up — a little hairspray helps stop pampas shedding.
